Small Change Makes a Global Change!

sgpHow is it possible for small change to make a global change?  It can and does — every day!  I have talked about Simple Gifts Project before.  They are helping raise awareness as well as money for schools and more importantly, for people struggling all over the globe!  We tested it out at my kids’ school this year.  The 5th Grade Carpenter Cougars in Studio City, CA were Ambassadors of Giving with The Simple Gifts Project.  For their service learning project, they teamed with SGP and helped raise over $400.  That may not seem like a lot of money, but look what that little bit was able to do.  They changed the lives of more than 220 kids around the world!  Here’s what the funds raised were able to do:
They preserved the sight of 154 children at risk for blindness with Vitamin A.  They provided 53 families in Africa with a month of clean water.  They protected 13 moms and babies from malaria with bed nets.  They saved the sight of 2 children with trachoma medicine.Without their help, some of these families may not have survived.  It’s not every day that you can say you helped so many people in such tangible — even life-saving ways.  THANK YOU, 5th Grade Cougars and everyone who contributed to this very important awareness-raiser!

To your success in fundraising — and changing the world!
